What is Arc?

Arc is a registered student organization at Michigan State University that began in 2018. We work to connect LGBTQIA+ students across campus to create real friendships in the community. Our goal is to build a support network for students in a relaxed and positive social environment. We do this through weekly meetings consisting of games, movies, events, socializing, and other fun activities!

How do I join this club?

All you need to do is show up! (We just recommend you send us an email first) You're welcome to attend meetings at your leisure, but only members can vote and/or run for board positions. Interested in being a member of Arc? You can check out our member requirements in our constitution.

What makes Arc different from other LGBT clubs at MSU?

We have some wonderful groups and caucuses that are LGBTQIA+ focused, but their specialties differ from ours. Other groups may do advocacy, hold informational presentations, or may be focused on a specific segment within the community- but Arc doesn't do these things. We're open to students across campus, and we focus only on social community building. We do our best to not overlap our meetings with other groups, though, so you can check out all of them! We highly encourage you to visit all of the wonderful groups and places MSU has to offer; you can get something different from each of their specializations- we just focus on the social aspect! The Gender and Sexuality Campus Center has a great list of other campus resources and groups here.

Did you know? Arc is a four-time award winning organization!
